Cookie policy

To make our site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. This page explains what we are collecting and why.

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login, language, font size and other display preferences) over a period of time, so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

Our website (www.agemi-eu.org) also uses cookies to help you access content on the site - providing a better user experience - and also allows us to to track visitor journeys.

We will not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you.

We collect web analytics and social media usage from a number of service providers including Google Analytics, Facebook and Twitter.

Enabling these cookies is not strictly necessary for the website to work but it will provide you with a better browsing experience.

Without them some features of this site may not work as intended.

How to control cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see aboutcookies.org.

You can delete all cookies that are already on your computer and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. The help menu of your browser details how to change cookie preferences.

If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site.

To opt out of being tracked by Google analytics across all websites visit tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Twitter

Twitter is changing the way they allow users to opt out of interest-based ads. Instead of a browser’s Do Not Track function they’re offering the following options:

  • if you are on the web, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s consumer choice tool to opt out of seeing interest-based advertising from Twitter
  • on your mobile device, enable the 'Limit Ad Tracking' setting in your iOS phone’s settings, or the setting to 'Opt out of Ads Personalization' in your Android phone’s settings.
